Good news! New badges are now available for children's leaders. These badges are designed to be used during the 2010-2011 year, but you are free to purchase and use them now if you'd prefer.

I have not been able to get Children's Ministry day badges, when I tried to order some months back they were out of stock and are still out of stock...Do you know if they will be available again?  Our coronation and badge ceremony will be late August.

I'm so sorry! We did have an order of badges come in last month, but they sold quickly.
 
I have talked with our customer service department and learned that if the badges are out of stock, it is best for you to call them instead of checking the web store repeatedly. Call 800-968-7301 to get your name on the list of customers wanting badges. When a new shipment arrives, then you will be among the first customers to receive your order. Backorders are processed in order of the dates they were received.
 
Another delivery of Children's Ministry Day 2010 badges is scheduled for next week. I apologize for the delay! Thank you for bearing with us as we process more orders than we anticipated.
 
I hope your badge ceremony goes very well!

Are the following badges going to be available for the 2010-2011 year. I did not see them on the WMU Website where we order badges:
 
GA Badge
Giving to Missions
Praying for Missions

Yes--you should be able to order all these badges from www.wmustore.com. Let me know if you don't find them.

Your GAs could earn the scrapbooking badge in many different ways. Here are a few ideas:
  • Complete the GA Scrapbook at the end of the year in GA.
  • Create a scrapbook page about a GA event or ministry project.
  • Help a ministry leader create a scrapbook about their ministry.

Others may have great ideas for this badge as well.

Melody,
I am in favor of having the badges downsized.  Our GA earn several badges each year that are sewn on their sashes.  The problem is that they have 2-3 sashes of badges.  If the badges were smaller; the cost could be much less.  I've thought about going to vests like Girl Scouts, but then you run into the problem of the girls growing out of them in the 5 years.

Thanks for the feedback. Next year (fall 2011), look for a new GA vest that will hold more badges!
