All registered forum users should be able to upload photos to this site. Use these instructions to help you: *Create a new post by replying to a previous post or clicking on "new topic." *Find on your computer the image you would like to upload. Right-click the file and click "properties." See what size the image is.
If the image is smaller than 100 KB, follow these steps: *Click on the "insert image" icon in the toolbar that appears above your message. (This icon looks like a picture of a tree.) *A new window will open up. Click on "browse" in that window. Browse through the files on your computer until you find your photo. Click on it. Then click "open." *Click on "upload." A message will come up. Click on "okay." Wait for the photo to upload. Then click "okay." The image should show up in your post! If the image is larger than 100 KB, follow these steps: *Resize the image so that it is smaller than 100 KB. You might do this using the image-editing software on your computer. Or go to www.tinypic.com. Follow the directions on that site to browse for the image on your computer and upload it. (We recommend selecting Thumbnail size.) Then copy the code under "Direct Link for Layouts." (You can copy the code by highlighting it, right clicking it, and selecting "copy.") *Go back to the new WMU forum post you created. Click on the "insert image" icon in the toolbar that appears above your message. (This icon looks like a picture of a tree.) *A new window will open up. Find the box that says "Image URL." Delete the copy inside that box. Paste in the box the code you copied from www.tinypic.com. (You can paste the code by right-clicking the box and selecting "paste.") *Click "preview." Then click "okay." The image should show up in your post! Edited by melody - 25 Nov 2008 at 5:04pm |

uploads/666/GA3.jpgGood afternoon - My name is Diane Pulley and I am a GA leader @ Knightdale Baptist Church in Knightdale, North Carolina. I teach a group of girls from 3rd - 6th grades. Our girls are always very enthusiastic about participating in community projects. This year all of our GA's 1st - 6th and RA's worked together to paint and restore all the bird houses for a local resthome. Our RA leaders went to the resthome and dismantled all of the birdhouses and brought them to the church. The kids gathered together as individuals and in teams to clean the birdhouses and then repaint them white. The next week the kids painted the designs, flowers, on all of the birdhouses. Once they were all dry, the kids got together @ the resthome along with our leaders to put the birdhouses back in place for the residents to enjoy. This was a fun activity for the kids and an easy project to complete to help others in our community. We are so proud of all the kids for showing great teamwork and a willingness to serve others.
I am attaching pictures of group and completed birdhouses. Thank you, Diane Pulley
