So many of them were G.A.'s when they were young which encouraged the girls. Each missionary responded with such wonder up lifting letters. They were just grand in writing, one missionary sent a book she had wrote about her husband and her ministry. Many sent pictures. Each week the girls were so excited to check the mail. If I saw them during the week in town at the store the first thing they asked was if we had gotten any mail. Some of the retired missionaries were just so tickled someone was thanking them for doing Gods work and being on encouragement to them, thinking of them, and praying for them. We saved all the letters in a binder and our church members were able to read them also. They were proud of the girls.

    Author: Diane VunCannon
Subject: GA Lockin
Posted: 02 Sep 2010 at 8:07am

We are planning a lock-in Sept 10th and we are going to have a scavenger hunt. Most of our girls have phones, so my idea was for them to take a picture of the item instead of collecting the item. I will have teams for the ones who do not have phones. My daughter complained about the phone, i told her i had an old phone that doesnt call but still takes pictures. It was neat with polariods when i was younger, but no one has those any more.
