We were amazed at how much we had donated! Lots of children will be able to have fun games, fun and loud favors, good cupcakes to go with all the decorations! Our children were so touched that there were children, some even their age, that maybe had never had a birthday party. It was so much fun gathering it all up and seeing the looks on our GA and RA's faces! I can't imagine what the children's faces at the ABCH look like!

We had several children from our area that had spent time last year in the local Children's Hospital and we wanted to give something back to them for the care they had provided. We said that if a child is at the hospital a day, a week or months it becomes their home so Scottish Rite Hospital became the home team we wanted to help. The 2 months leading up to Children's Ministry Day we collected books, cds, dvds and books on cd for the library at the hospital. We wanted to help the kids at the hospital to have more ways to help fill their time while at the hospital. We forget that some kids can not see or watch tv so they need something else to do while being treated. We collected over 400 items for the library. The girls sorted the books by age group and made get well cards to send with them to the hospital. The books were delivered a couple of weeks later to a most appreciative library staff.

We have never before worked on earning badges and I started this past fall with that. The girls wanted to work on earning their tea party badge.
But, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on what we can do. We had thought of doing a Mother daughter Tea party around Mother's day . Not sure yet. Wanted some feedback from more experienced leaders. Thanks for any help.
